Seinfeld's Apartment

We never see Jerry Seinfeld's bedroom because he lives in a studio apartment. Like me! It took me this long to figure that out. Actually I'm just now seeing the early episodes thanks to syndication.
Update: Yes, yes, thank you to the many who have commented to point out how wrong I am. In early episodes, he has a studio. The rest of the season, he has a bedroom, where we see him and other characters. Gotcha.

In an early episode (which I only saw just recently) Jerry's parents stay with him. They sleep on the couch, which turns out to be a pull out. Jerry makes a comment about them sleeping in his bed and that he is going to stay at Kramer's.
Maybe what I think I saw is the bathroom....
No, they did film in his bedroom at least once. It was when he and Eileen did it I think. They've filmed in there before though. I remember it. WHY do I remember that? Arg.
Of course Jerry has a bedroom. Remember the episode with Jean-Paul the marathon guy. Jerry wakes up late IN HIS BED! and than starts acting like a crazy moron trying to wake him up to take him to the NY Marathon?
You both accurately cite the cannon, Erica and Jhen. I stand corrected.
Erica txt'd me the other day to say "I'm watching the rickshaw episode! The're in Jerry's bedroom!" Thanks, Erica. When I'm wrong, I'll admit it :-)
They do show Jerrys apartment bedroom a couple of times. there is the one episode when he and Kramer switch apartments and they show Kramer inside Jerry's bedroom eating chicken in his bed.
Jerry does have a bedroom, there was another episode where Kramer sleeps every 3 hours and wakes Jerry up in this bedroom because he has nothing to do. I am a Seinfeld freak.
The episode where Kramer gets banned from Joe's Market, when Jerry tries to buy him the fresh fruit (cantelope), remember JErry and Elaine end up in Jerry's bed? Jerry can't get it up and Elaine asks for some of that melon, and then Jerry thinks, "Hmmmmmm"
Also the other time Jerry and Elaine are in his bedroom when they have to have sex to save the friendship. End of season 2 I think where Elaine comes out of the bedroom wearing Jerry's shirt.
There's also that episode where Jerry wants his closet to be organized as an excuse to have this woman he likes over at his apartment. At least I'm pretty sure that was an episode but I don't keep up with this kind of stuff...
There's another scene when Kramer lost the keys to his apartment and convinced Jerry to let him sleep in his bed....that's when Kramer says the line "Patio furniture's on sale," as he keeps Jerry up with the reading light. Too funny.
Well... it looks like everybody is right! In the first couple of episodes, Jerry lives in a studio apartment. At some point, with the magic of tv, it becomes a one-bedroom!
From the plot of episode one: "At the airport, George and Jerry continue to talk in an effort to identify the possible signals Laura might give upon her arrival. Laura arrives and takes Jerry (and George) by surprise. The two arrive at Jerry's apartment and he feels uncomfortable with the situation. Laura removes some excess clothing to get comfortable and asks for wine. Jerry believes he has gotten to the bottom of the whole question. His plans are abruptly interrupted when he learns Laura has a fiancé. Jerry realizes he has no chance with Laura but has already committed himself — and his studio apartment — to an entire weekend with her."

It was only a studio in the first few episodes. It magically turned into a one-bedroom apartment sometime during second season, and we have DEFINITELY seen Jerry's bedroom (Kramer spent a week sleeping in there)

Sure, Jerry had a bedroom. It's through the door to the left of the front door. You can sometimes see into it, but I think you're correct, they never filmed in the bedroom.
I'm mortified that I think I know this much about Seinfeld, which I stopped watching after the first few seasons because the "nothingness" about the characters stopped being funny.
