Belt Loops

I have a cell phone w/ a belt clip. What bugs me about using the belt clip was that I like to be able to slide it around based on where I am. When I'm walking I like it in front of me, out of the way of my pocket. When I'm driving or sitting at my desk I like it off to the side.
In certain situations, I like having it slid to the back. The problem with this arrangment is my belt loop is in the way of sliding in that direction. I used to unclip it and reclip it. I finally decided to stop looping my belt through that loop. Duh! Now I can slide the darn thing all over the place.
Also, my outsides more closely match my insides; my belt doesn't go through all the loops.

Thanks, buddy. I'm glad you shared.
My comment isn't pertinent at all, other than the fact that I lost my cell phone by sticking it in the mesh pocket of my PFD and as I bent over to get into the kayak it fell out and sank like a rock to the bottom of Lake Union. I wasn't as much peeved about losing the phone as I was having to re-enter four hundred gagillion phone numbers. Blast! The the belt loop thing - well, uh....you fashionista you, Phillip. ;)
Why don't you get a belt clip with a swivel clip. I have had to switch over to them because of how big my bookbag is this term. I got mine at walmart for about $8 - but it's worth not loosing my cell or missing calls while I'm at school.
My clip does actually swivel. I'm talking about being able to move it around my body in addition to that. I like flexibility!
Put the clip on your belt instead of the belt loop :-p with mine when I do that I can move it almost completely around.
It's on the belt, but the loop is in the way... get it?

Last week, as I was getting out of the car, my phone fell off my belt clip and into the water drain. Luckily, maintenance was right there and could get it out with a grabber. I'm not sure how pertinent this story is to your blog but I thought what the hell, I'd share it with you.
