Who Wants to Be A Voter?

Mom sent me a link to this story about a group offering a million dollar lottery to one lucky voter. Americans are totally for sale! Voting to win money cheapens the whole thing... Reasons to vote, (like you really need any):
- The War in Iraq
- Homeland Security
- Congressional Priorities
- Government Corruption
- ... (fill in your own) ... and...
- People died today so you could

They probably figure that the way this country has been running over the last few years, what's another million dollars in the deficet. However, if this works anything like the lottery, a lot of voters still won't vote until they raise the lottery to over ten million dollars.
So it would go no turnout for the mid-terms, none for the presidential election, then suddenly, when the jackpot is up to 14,000,000, we get 87% turn out on some stupid runoff vote for a ballot measure. "The library can't take the capacity! They're turning voters away! It's pandemonium!"
