My first long-term really favorite band was The Police. In honor of them, my fondness for them, and their reunion... And because I've never embedded a video in my blog before... It seems fitting to share this now, and that they should be the first:

I am not sure if you ever knew, but one of my fondest memories of the Police is when my brother and I went to the Day on the Green with the headliners as the Police. It was their "Syncronicity Tour" and we had gotten up to the front, with all the crayzee people up there. It was the summer before my freshman year. Anyways, an elbow in my throat caused me to have a bouncer bring me over the fence right before the Police were brought on and I was taken to the very back of the stadium in a small waiting area with a tv. It was surreal- and I'll never forget it. My brother and I found each other later, but it was quite the "rites of passage" night.

Thank goodness for sites like You Tube for those of us who hate watching the Grammies or missed it. Yay Police!!!!! :)
