Metamorphosis
Inspired by the book "Hope For The Flowers" and...
"Wherefore if any man is in Christ, [he is] a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, they are become new."2 Cor 5:17
Thinkin' about
All the leaves
That had gone sour being chewed
And wondering how
Tiny inches at a time
Down the trees and through the grime
Life was construed
And I'm asking now
When for myself I was earthbound
Could I have ever known profound
I was your furry little friend here
On the ground
Metamorphosis
Wrapped in silken clothes
And set apart by God for change
And made a new creation
The glowing life in skin
Reflective of the light within
I see you now
Caught in writhing masses
Clutch and pull the hair
And rising high
While the profit gained ascent
The pain of gripping discontent
In your scalp
Reminds me how
Easily I'm pulled along your strings
I feel the downward plummet stings
And falling I can't hide my wings anymore
Metamorphosis
Wrapped in silken clothes
And set apart by God for change
I am a new creation
The glowing life in skin
Reflective of the light within
(Metamorphosis)
Set apart by God for change
And made a new creation
The glowing life in skin
Reflective of the light within
(Metamorphosis)
See the prism light
Reflected and arrayed so bright
Become a new creation
My furry friends assured
It's people that I'm praying for
