Acts of Kindness

I'm posting in support of Bloggers Unite. They're asking people to post about Acts of Kindness. I don't like to toot my own horn much about charity (I'll tell you all day long how great I am, but that's different), on the other hand, I think people are motivated by example. It's a fine line.
Here's a few ways you could help out people less fortunate than yourself, and remember I don't recommend you do things that I have not done:
- Support Joanne's Kettle for Salvation Army in Walla Walla
- Sponsor a Child Through World Vision! You too could get Christmas Cards from Morocco!
- Donate to Phones for Cell Phones for Soldiers.
Or, something I have not done exactly, but I recommend Tom's Shoes without qualification for their vision and charity work: buy a FEED Bag.
What acts of kindness, big or small, have you done this holiday season? Post a comment with your story!

Indeed! I'm kinda the same, I think that if one expects rewards for an act of kindness it's not quite as selfless. Still, I've enjoyed surfing around and visiting a bunch of new bloggers with inspiring posts. :)
I have three kids through Christian Children's Fund and I'm really glad that I can help them out in such a direct way. :)
Thanks for visiting and commenting CyberCelt and Linda! The Hunger Store sounds like a great opportunity, CyberCelt! Linda awesome work with the kitties! Michelle and I have cats too! Your post echoes my sentiment about not wanting to brag. Great work!
In addition to the sites you have mentioned, for those like myself with hardly any money or time (with school and all) there is www.theanimalrescuesite.com. For every person that clicks, sponsors provide free food for animals in shelters. There are other links for Gifts for Charity, which include a site for World Hunger, preserving the Rainforest, encouraging Literacy, providing food and health care to Children, and Breast Cancer awareness. In addition, they have great free trade gifts and these increase the amount of food, books, healthcare, etc that can be provided. Been doing it for years.
